BORNEO, IS IT REALLY A HEAVEN FOR GIANT PYTHON? (A NEW SHOCKING ISSUES IN INDONESIAN SOCIETY)

After much long debate about the existence of Giant Python in the island of Borneo few months ago, now Indonesian community is again shocked by a picture of Borneo dead Giant Python being lifted with an excavator. Although the truth of this news has not been confirmed by the local police, some people believe that the news is true based on the condition of the forest in Borneo which is still very dense. They are very much certain that Borneo is a heaven for some animals, including a giant python.
As already reported by a number of national newspapers, a photograph of a Python (reticulates) in a dead condition being removed using an excavator had made a surprise for Facebook users and became the talk of the mailing-lists of some workers in East Kalimantan. According to the confession of the person who uploaded the picture on Facebook, he got the photo of the giant snake from a colleague who worked in the mining contracting company located Tanah Hulu, near Kotabangun, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Indeed, Borneo Island has so wide jungle that is inhabited by many wild animals, including giant snake (python) which is believed its length can reach tens of meters. Of all types of python, Python reticulatus is the longest found in southeast Asia, especially in the peninsula of Sulawesi. In Indonesia alone, python Snake is known as type “sanca.”.
