UNITED NATION? NO MORE, WE QUIT!

An extraordinary occurrence and perhaps the only one in the world is the attitude of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia who clearly states out of the UN membership. President Sukarno's decision on January 7, 1965 which states: "Indonesia out of the United Nations" was spoken in front of more than 10 thousands people, from the unity of students, youth, workers, to farmers in a general meeting of the Anti - Foreign Military Base in Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
The background of the quitting Indonesia from the United Nations because President Sukarno considered that the UN has become a puppet of imperialism and neo-colonialism that made by U.S. and its allies. In a harsher tone, President Sukarno previously accused the UN prejudice and become a representative of colonials.  President Sukarno’s biggest annoyance was the acceptance of Malaysia as a non-permanent member of UN Security Council, even though at that time, there was a big confrontation between Indonesia and Malaysia.
This is a “courage" of president of a developing country that once delivered his official speech at the UN General Assembly and received thundering applause and the spirit of the roaring of the trial participants. In a speech that lasted nearly 1 hour, entitled "To Build the World A New", President Sukarno found that the UN is only a puppet. Therefore, the President invited all elements of UN members to pay big attention and do something real wisely related to that condition.
